It goes through Beverly Hills and West Hollywood as well as districts in Los Angeles. The Boulevard follows the northern boundary of the Los Angeles Basin, a path that shadows the 1780s cattle trail from the Pueblo de Los Angeles to the ocean.

The Sunset Marquis Hotel is a luxury hotel that was created for musicians and people in the film industry. The hotel hosts the Morrison Hotel Gallery which features photos of rock ‘n roll stars.
